Old Charter Oak French Oak is a 92 proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey aged in French oak barrels for 12 years at Buffalo Trace Distillery. The whiskey is made using Buffalo Trace Mashbill #1, the same recipe used for Eagle Rare and E.H. Taylor. French oak, known for its tighter grain, imparts a silkier texture and more subtle flavors compared to American oak.
